Biography
Anoebis is an old school styled Goa-trance dj playing this all over the world! He likes both the acidic and melodic styles, so he can always adapt to day or night sets 🙂
Besides that he (and Chris) are the managers of Suntrip Records! 🙂 In special cases he also plays suomi, retro trance or melodic forest under his darker moniker: Skeleton Hex.
The story of Anoebis starts in 1998. In that year he discovered goa-trance. Immediately he was SO convinced of that music that he bought all the cds he could! Pretty soon he had 200 cds which resulted in a first dj-set during new year 2000. Before he realized he was playing more or less every weekend.
The first years of the new millennium were hard. Around that period, he was one of the last djs playing “old styled goa trance”. Because he loved that style so much and it seemed dead, he and a good friend (Mars/Fabien) decided to start their own music label called Suntrip Records. Not much later melodic goa-trance started to revive in Belgium and some other countries in the world, and this resulted in more and more parties with this sound 🙂 This meant little sleep for me, but lots of joy! And for some obscure reasons this love for goa trance continues until today!
Since 2010 his career exploded more internationally… He played in Israel, Japan, Brazil, India and more or less every country in Europe! Also, he was lucky to be on stage on festivals such as: Boom Festival, Ozora, ZNA, Apsara, Free Earth, Own Spirit, Space Safari, Universo Parallello Psy Fi, Lost Theory Festival and many… many more!
Unfortunately he was diagnosed with Leukemia in the beginning of 2024 so his career had a break, but slowly he is rebuilding his life and gigs! His earthly mission wasn’t finished yet! 😊
